Hey guys - well it never bloody ends with this thing! I fixed my timing chain with a yd25.com dual row kit - and lo and behold I get another issue!
There is now a harmonic whine from the a/c compressor. It's like a whine, I could beat describe it as "harmonic"... Like a whoop whoop whoop whoop sound.
It disappears and reappears with the a/c compressor kicking in.
Is there a bearing or a clutch that could need replacing in the compressor? Or are they a non rebuildable item?
I should mention - it is a 2007 build STX - and in terms of air con coolness - it still works a charm!
