Hi guys
Are there somebody smarter than Nissan service & me?

I had this on going problem since I got this car new got this thumping under driver’s side
Sounds like right under my feet.
It there when doing a left hand corner like at normal speed or going in or out of a drive way turning left.
It also does to some extend when turning right it sounds like the left door or dash is lose
They checked left door hinges etc.found nothing.
Anyway it is the left turns like roundabouts at normal speeds when surface is a little bit uneven that annoy me.

When 1 person its there 2 person hardly anything,3 persons it was thumping just about every left-hand sweeping corner all the way from Tamworth to Sydney.
sounds like shock is lose not connect one end.
They did say to ring & make a time for supervisor to have a look.
did not fix it the last time i had it for service
Was going there this week but had a bag of cement in the rear for 2 days when I took it out the crazy ute is riding pretty smooth & not much thumping. Now it is slowly coming back again, can’t find anything lose.

torsion bars / front shocks
check bump stop clearance
mine did it from new
until i upgraded suspension
its a common problem with factory shocks
nissan will never admit there factory suspension is the problem

I had a similar problem with my 2010 str after a particulalr rough trip to fraser... Turned out to be a cracked body mount. Fixed under warranty no problems

sounds like a body mount, there's one under your feet.
a few people have had problems with body mounts on the later d22s.

i don't think you can upgrade a lot still under warranty
i would like to change the shocks

bump stop clearance looks ok

next to check the body mount

to late today is the crack easy to see ?

Change the shocks mate. It won't affect any warranty whatsoever
