I know trading a car in kills the wallet, But the amount of tyre kickers who bull shite along, saying its a buyers market. I recently sold my old triumph bonny, the absolute wankers who offered a third of the asking price, I had fun telling them to piss off. If some of those accessories are bolt on items, you could consider selling them separately. Keeps your car looking more original and maybe to some people it might appear less flogged/used/ abused.

do your market research
be prepared to take a loss on the value of the mods and accessories
don't listen to anything a car salesman tells you about the value
in the end I traded mine because I knew the the dealer personally(and trust him) and he could see the value in my rig,he had a seller lined up, it didn't even hit the lot
there are people out there that appreciate a well set up 4wd and will pay accordingly
you just need to track them down
