Ordered my bilstein front and rears today from downsouth motorsports in the states hopefully get them soon an also ordered my dobinsons lift kit aswell can't wait to fit this hopefully will be a good ride. An the build begins!!

both the old yellow ones and the new 5100 series adjustable are apparently the same shock internally so it shouldn't matter to much which one he gets.

Nice work Trev!
Looking at the downsouth website. Is the Titan the U.S equivilant of the navara d40 ?
I just bought some rear shocks not 2 months ago from oz site for 400+ :(
Least i can find my front adjustables and save a few dollars!!

Na mate I went the frontier struts and shocks, a also bjj84 went with the new 5100 height adjustables. Can't wait to throw them in.

that's a damn good price! interesting how the rear part numbers are marked as 0" lift or am i missing something?

Yeah it does say 0 but there is another guy on here that has them with 2 inch lift and he reckons its sweet and sonny from down south reckons they will be fine.

interesting, think i might do the same as you and put my own kit together. has bilsteins on my old car and loved them.

I have a 2012 st d40 with tjm outback bar and 9500 pound winch, totaling close to 90kgs+

I've been talking to Kirk from 4wd1. In his experience 5100 are are good (only) for light-weight "sports truck" applications (no winch) and when fitted to factory original coils.

While the internal build-quality of the Biltein struts is superb, the units locating points (mounting points) are only original spec. With up rated strut damper, up rated coils and extra weight, you really need strut units that are over-engineered at all mounting/bushing locations.

He then goes on to say that tough dog foam-cell struts which certainly meet the category.
