black plastic yd25 vs alloy yd25

Hey guys whats the difference between the alloy yd25 and the black yd25 are they like the td42 same block and head just different insides... reason is i cooked my black top yd25 and a mate has a cheap alloy top one can i fit it cheers

Could it be alloy = d22
And black top is D40

As far as i know the euro 3 is alloy rocker cover and euro 4 is a black plastic one. Will stand corrected though.

That's correct. I had to replace my plastic cover and put the Alloy one on. The alloy is the euro 3

European emissions regulations. I believe they are up to euro 6 now... if you have a look at the side of late model volvo trucks they are usually euro 5, the new shape I'm pretty sure is euro 6.

There quit a few minor differences. E3 injectors wont work in a e4 engine, the egr setup is different, different mapping and probabily other stuff as well.
