Bit of an old thread but i tow at the speed or a tad below if there is a tailgater up my arse and i cannot get them on the uhf i pull over if safe.
The van the old girl pulls is just on 1.6tonne with both tanks full when i get there i do no rush not sure about the speed limiters in trucks though from the north of Brisbane down the hwy we followed a fool doing 152kph before a hill slowed him down and had to pull over as we went through the next town he caught up we pulled over and let him go i am getting too old for arguments with folk on the road,but i respect anyone that wishes to overtake.

I believe it's just a fuse that you pull and that ol' speed limiter is a goner.

Yep, easy enough to defeat in some vehicles but 102 or 3 is fast enough in a heavy vehicle.
As for 152KPH it's just an unguided missile. Crazy.

There's still a few of them out there that wear big hats...
Dunno why they run the risk, but I guess they will keep doing it until they die..... Or take someone else out and go to jail...
