Hey Guys, I recently installed some HID converted LF strikers. At first I lost high beam on the drivers side and worked out Id blown a fuse. Fixed that and now I have a CEL on. The only thing that is connected to the vehicles system is where I tapped off the high beam wire for triggering the relays. Ive reset the ecu by removing neg terminal and the CEL went off until I turned the car off. When I restarted it came back on. Any of you guys got any ideas? Voltage drop to the high beam maybe?.

I don't think the CEL is activated for a headlight problem, the best next step is to determine what code is being thrown by the ECU. Three ways to do that:

1) Do the manual sequence to get the CEL to flash the codes
2) Get an OBD adapter & software (buy for around $10 or borrow from someone) and read it straight off
3) Take it to a mechanic and ask them to read the code. It takes less than a minute to do.
