Centre bearing replacement

Hey folks-

Anyone ever changed the centre bearing on their D22? I don't have a press so is it difficult to remove the old bearing race? How hard is the stake nut to remove and is it easy to restake after the new bearing is on?

Hi mate,

I just removed he first half of the drive shaft and took it to my local mechanic. They went from this point to a freshly pressed bearing in about half an hour which cost me 30 bucks. Id recommend you find a dealer willing to do the same for you. Of course im now having other problems but I suspect they are due to another issue.
