Chassis repair

Screwing around with the nav today I noticed a hairline crack in the chassis near one of the control arms

I want to get it looked at and fixed up by someone who knows what theyre doing, but not sure where to take it. I'm worried that taking it to a typical mechanic would only be a quick fix (i could just do a straight weld myself)

want to address it before it gets any worse, has anyone had cracks repaired before? any recommendations?

I took the patrol from work to a dedicated welding and fabricators in ballarat, both rails behind the cab and both rails near the shock mounts had shall we say substantial cracks. I had to pressure wash the chassis inside and out to get rid of all contaminants, the bloke plated it and welded it. Legalitys, I don't know, but it was done by a qualified experienced welder.

Drill the crack at both ends and weld a plate over it.
