chook pen for my kids

hi all just thought i would share some pictures of a chook pen i made for my kids. The house is 1000mm x 800mm x 1400mm high. with the nesting boxes added to the outside.

Good job! If foxes are a problem, make sure you use plenty of chicken wire to keep the buggers out.

foxes wont be a problem. we have a dog that will keep everything away.

Nice mate, at least your kids will learn where their food comes from. And it teaches them responsability, we have chooks and over the years the kids have bottle fed calves

Nice project.

Umm now the question is whether the chooks and calves become food on the plate or the kids go vegetarian. Whatever yo do, don't let them give then cute and cuddly names. Things like soup, fried, etc for the chicken and vealer, steak for the calves.
