Last Friday when it was 41*c in Sydney I was sitting at the lights with the aircon on at 515pm
When all of a sudden a burst of coolant and water etc burst out the side on the engine bay.
Naturally at first i thought i had a split hose so waited for 3.5 hours in peak hour traffic for a tow home :(

When I got it home
Me and dad looked for the leak.
Started the engine, put high idle switch on and ran the engine for half an hour, no leaks
Could this just be the radiator cap releasing some pressure?
Is this normal?
Is it safe to drive?
It's got me puzzled
Cheers

where was the water marks?
any pics?

if it was the rad cap it would blow into the overflow bottle and possibly blow water out of that out the vent. but thats away from the engine.

Found the hole
1. Why is there coolant in this hose?
2. Is it safe to drive like this??
Cheers

that hose is for the Aircon. yes you can still drive the car but do not turn the aircon on until the hose is replaced and the system has been re gased.
