d22 Hard to get into third

Hi all.

New member here.
I have a 2006 d22 .(ZD30) 190000 km.
When i up shift into 3rd normally it grinds and jumps out/ doesnt go in.
I find that if i shift and hold the clutch in about a second longer it will hold in nicely.
No such problem down shifting.
I am also noticing a slight high pitch noise from under the bonnet under acceleration from about 2500 rpm.
Im new to the 4wd scene and I thank you in advance for any advice and help.

Yesterday I changed the gear box oil to see if there was any improvement.
Still the same.. oh well worth a try.
I have also noticed that if i try to take of from a standing start in third it jumps straight out. OK in other gears.

wonder if its anything to do with the gearshift selector fork or links whatever these have. sometimes if these are worn the gear won,t go right into its position and just pop out , does the gearshift feel more sloppy than it has been ?

I just bought it so i don't really know the history of the problem.
I got it pretty cheap factoring in the cost of a new gearbox and clutch.
I thought id try and fix it on the cheap and spend the extra cash on accessories . HA HA !
It was worth a try.

I know they sell bearing kits for these, don't know about the syncro's though.. If you re-build it at least you know it- if you know what I mean... or go the second hand box from a late model.. cheers Vic oh and always replace the spigot bush too- always
