I have a new D22 with the cursed odometer issue.
As it has a poverty pack dash with no tacho anyway I wanted to replace the dash with a dash containing a tacho.
I sourced one out of a d22 with the same (rare) QD32 motor, but when I connected it the fuel guage, speedo, tacho all did not work. All the headlight glow plug indicator stuff did.
The connections are the same.
The old instrument cluster has a code 2S800 stamped on it. The new one has 2S801.
Can i just plug an upspec dash in, and will the tacho work straight away? Is the wiring loom the same regardless dashes?
Is it likely the replacement one i got from the wreckers is faulty?
