d22 v bt50

i had a bit of a drag today against a mazda bt50 off the lights.
I have a 04 model d22 and this was a current model bt50 and we both went hard off the mark, and 1st and 2nd we were level, then into 3rd i had him covered but isaw a stopped car in his lane so i backed off to let him in as he wasnt slowing down.
Also i have to say my narvy is running a little rough ATM,so i thought that wasnt bad against a later model car.
not sure about the HP comparisson,but knowing what my car can do when 100% right, i would have smashed the bt50.

yes he was pushing...
i do have a chip,exhaust and air filter mod so it all helps...

With a chip only, the D22 would have a little more power and similar torque than a standard BT50, so with your mods you should be quicker.
BT50 3.0L: 115kw / 380nm....
D22 3.0L:110kw / 314nm. My steinbauer chip should have the D22 at 132kw / 377nm with no other mods.

BUT I drove a mates new Ford Ranger (the BT50 version) and he's definately feels faster.
