got the work ute at the mo and its been a tad slow on the starts. the boys had a few flat batteries.
what i didn't realize at the time that these come fitted with an EFB battery. thats for the rapid recharge from the smart alternator. the emissions/fuel saving setup.

anyone know how they should be charged when out of the ute?
as far as i can tell they are a cheaper version of the AGM battery.
they are commonly used in stop/start cars.
 
Correct!

It's recommended to use a charger designed for AGM and EFB batteries, specifically neither are happy to be charged above 14.4v or below 2A.
