D40 airbox replacement

Hey guys i was searching through here the other day and stumbled across this. http://www.navara.asia/showthread.php?t=16649
would this be able to work on the D40 with a genuine snorkel? just not sure how this would work connecting to the actual snorkel.

that's a good idea aswell. just not sure how water proof that snorkel is going to be on the entry into the snorkel

It Looks a shit load better than the factory setup and the only reason i would swap it out is if it was water tight for a bit more piece of mind on the deeper crossings
