D40 brake lights...

Hi all!
So been having intermittent problems with my brake lights. Changed the pedal switch and was working fine, then went again so changed again!
Stopped working again, checked power to switch and there isn't any, changed the fuse to no avail!

Any thoughts on were to go next?

If it has a tow hitch, pull the trailer plug on the car apart and check for ants, corrosion or strands of wire touching each other.

So have replaced trailer plug as 2 terminals were corroded, good to do anyway so thanks for getting me to finally do it!

Thought problem was resolved, but yesterday another switch went. Now I'm at a complete loss! Hasn't blown the fuse, bulbs are all fine or should I just start again with all of them?

Take both brake switches apart (they twist off their mounts, and they're easy to open once they're in your hand). Take a note of how they're assembled as you take them apart (it's easy). Inside, clean out any black powder - mine had a fair bit of powder in it, and it was causing issues with the lights not always coming on.
