I brought the car to tow a boat. Heavy duty exceedy clutch $2400/under warranty had to pay diesiel specialist to diaignois turbo problems aftergoing to nissen 3 times.Problem was fixed but had to chip the car to give it enough touque to pull boat up a ramp $2100/fuel rail& injector tubes $2200/cracked exhaust manifold $1550/ injectors $4000/maf sensor $ turbo boost solanoid had the car at nissan 3 times and back to diesel specialist again $920 nobody else touches my car now,he tells me all CRD are having problems & he believes it is caused by low sulpher/no lubicant. My mistake only $13170 ha ha

So it seems like some of these repairs were covered by warranty!! Clutch turbo ect so the car didnt "suck money" when Nissan paid.
How can you complain about the cost of putting a chip on,??????
Hundreds of people chip all sorts of cars every day, Then dont turn around and blame the car for them wanting more power!!
Now to be completely honest is does sound like you are being touched up by your so called "specialist"...... just because he calls him self a specialist does not mean he ISNT ripping you off.......
OH and you might check the badge on your car......... the reason being is if it is spelt the same as you spelt it you may have a china version replica
