D40 RX roll bar

I've just purchased a 2013 D40 RX PU I think it's called, with the tub. which is pretty much the bare bones model in terms of exterior accessories.

I'd like to pull of the basic tub bars that protect the rear window and replace with the chrome bars. I spoke to nissan and they reckon the ST and ST-X bars are not compatible as the tub is slightly different.

However after looking around on eBay and online I've seen peoples RXs with them fitted.

Has anyone had any experience or know anything about this?

I would have thought the thai built ST tubs are the same as the RX and would fit.

The current series ST is spanish built so you would be looking at one off the previous & earlier series ST.

Don't take my word for it though, however I think that is correct.

I too have the new RX. I bought a bar off ebay and it fitted straight on with a few holes to be drilled. I think it came off a 2009/10 ST. One thing I did note however was how much stronger the RX bar would be for load carrying.
