Been trying to sort out some overheating issues with my Nav. While flushing the radiator last night, I noticed one of the vacuum hoses had crushed. I've attached a drawing of the hose in question.
As this solenoid connects to the EGR actuator, I'm assuming it was causing it to stick wide open or closed.
I replaced the hose with a heavier one and took the ute for a drive on the highway.... it didn't overheat. (fingers crossed for now!)
Could be coincidence since I just flushed the radiator, however I'm curious if the crushed hose was causing or contributing to the overheating?
Could definitely be something for others to keep an eye on!
