Engine shutting down when getting hot

Just wondering if anyone can help, i have a d22 zd30, after driving for aprox 1hour the moror seems to shudder ( loose power then comes back normal ) i thought it was a fuel block but it only seems to happen when i drive on longer trips,
I have since had my vacuum pump crack and spew oil all over my motor, could these two thing be related, i am about to have a go at replacing the vacuum pump my self is there anything i need to be aware of to look out for,

Any help would be great.

Is the Crank angle sensor covered in oil ?

If so, degrease it.

wonder if its the good old nuetral switch starting to play up.
