Fuel draining back to tank overnight

I have a D22 2005 after running all day i leave it over night and it seams the fuel leaks out of the fuel filter back to tank i changed the filter housing but still does it? could it be my fuel pump check valve thanks

sounds like check valve try parking it facing down a hill if there's any difference first

Car's old enough for the fuel hoses to have hardened, cracked or split too. Might just be a hose clamp that's either not tight enough or too tight.

I'd be checking the little plunger pump on the filter housing. The shaft gland is point I have seen suck in air on a few occasions and loose prime

Take the filter off and put it back on very carefully - an improper seal will cause it to lose prime!

Has the D22 got that dicky little seal in the middle like the D40 has? That thing is a pain in the ass, the slightest misalignment and the damn thing leaks.

Can't remember as I've been using cav filters for years - but all types need to create a proper seal to work (but you knew that) and sometimes it just goes wrong.

thanks guys just found a tiny pin hole on the pressure side of the fuel pump
