gear down & into reverse what the ##$%

hi all

i just wonder i have not had a 4wd or car in over 30 years that allows you
to shift into reverse while in forward motion & changing gear.it happen twice
now by not paying attention i was shifting from 5th down & got into reverse crunch bloody thing was grinding gears got out quick since then have noticed there is not much stooping stick from going into reverse from 5th or any other gear.
has anybody the same or is it normal on this d22 ???

your reverse lockout mechanism isn't working easy fix, the lockout is located on the lefthand side just under the shifter housing looks like a cam lobe its od measures 36mm held in place by a 10mm bolt pull it out and replace

incredible only 2 1/2 year old
hope they will fix
if not to expensive might do it myself
