I have a manual 07 D40. The plastic clip that holds the vinyl gearstick boot to the console is stuffed. I am sick of gluing it back together. I went into Nissan and asked for a replacement. When the rep eventually found it on the computer, he told me the vinyl boot and the plastic clip were a single part and is worth $348.60.
I corrected him and said it is worth 50¢ and the $348.10 is robbery.
I have seen lots of D40's with the same problem.
Does anybody know of a fix, or an after market option?
