Hard cover clips

I have bought a s/h hard cover for my D40

It came from a spain built STX and is a genuine nissan item

It is missing the clips that hold the cover to the bracket on the vehicle.

Nissan are giving me the runaround about availability.

Could some one please post a pic of the clip, in or out of the vehicle so I know what it looks like and how it functions, or better still if someone has had to purchase these before, what was the part number?

Surely people have lost the clips at some point and needed replacments.

Do you mean the pins where it would Pivot?

They are basically just bent bits of wire - mirror imaged. A sort of "Z" shape.
If you search for info on hard lids, you may find pics of them.

I bought some spare parts off a place in Melb for mine (which didn't include the pins but I'd be surprised if they don't stock them as they had pretty much everything else).

I'll see if I can find the invoice tonight and post up their details.

mine appears different,

I have a strip that runs almost the width of the tub that rivets on, then the pins attach somehow

thanks for the pics mate,

seems that the pins cant be purchased separately, need to replace the whole hardlid.

I took a quick trip to the local hardware.

some nice long nails cut to size and shape did the trick nicely.

I might try and get my hands on one oneday and have some spare fabricated

see flat top in dandenong they have some stainless pins you might be able to adapt
