Interior light

Just wondering if any one can tell me with the interior light what the 3 wires are I have 1 black 1 red and 1 half black half red I'm trying to replace it with a narva one from auto barn which has a 1 white and 1 black wire

The black one would be earth [or negative] the red one is positive, for when light is turned on, and the black and red one would be positive, for when its switched to come on when you open the door. fj
