Tomorrow is the international day of the florist (valentines day)

What do you do fr your special lady .... Or the wife!

Personally I got married so I did not need to worry about all these " marketing days"

Just asked the missus if she wanted anything tomorrow. She said no of coarse not. Thats coded for if you don't get me something you will be sharing the dogs kennel for a month. Women talk about hard to read

mines going to work
ive got the day off
will probably cook her dinner
when youve been together12 years its just another day

I got my wife a dozen roses for her Birthday last month - cost me $95 delivered - from exactly the same company on Valentines day it costs $129.95 + $10 delivery - I would get flowers 3 to 4 times a year from these rip off merchants - but if they want to pull that crap then they've lost me as a customer.

im taking my misses for a forby. and after washing my truck we might go get some fish and chips or a kabab from up the road.

I'm giving my missus the most thoughtful present I could think of, peace and quiet by not being home all day to annoy her.

I got the misses ....... wait for it.........a SNORKEL for her Hilux. i have been told im a real romantic....... after this present i can see why. hahaha

My missus asked if we could skip the fancy dinner at an overpriced restaurant crowded with people...

instead we're going for a 4wd up a decent hill behind town with a bottle of wine and some snacks.... Perfect

Couldn't be bothered thinking so have her a voucher for shoes and taking her pit tonight so i can get ribs...
Bali in 2 weeks so not fussed about anything else. She's bought me some new John Deeres.
And a 4wd experience with my own car

I'll not be reminding the misses about the waste of resources that is all those flowers flown in from South Africa. Or the increased landfill generated by greeting cards & plastic wrapping. Nor will I mention the brazen commercialism and gullibility of our consumerist society - she prefers it that way.

Last week I paid for the missus to trade up to a new car (a Mitsubishi ASX with platinum pack).

She picked it up today and I gave her a bunch of red roses as she sat down in the drivers seat.

I'm thinking I probably shouldn't mention that the car being ready today was a coincidence :)

My better half works for a horticultural company that sells flower processing equipment so she got 3 dozen roses from various customers. I love her job, haven't had to buy flowers for the last 12 years....
