It's Official, we can run bigger tyres legally

For those who havent seen the new suspension and tyre size ruling came in today, so basically everyone running 265/75/16's there car is legal now!

black nav qld have taken most of these rules from NSW and the National code of practice (NCOP)

the way i reads to me if you dont have a 50mm suspension lift i guess you could run 285's legally as you are allowed 75mm between the 2

I thought they were supposed to be bringing in that you didn't need a mod plate. Makes it more expensive when they start looking over the car and finding other things that need mod plating

The way I read it is that you are allowed 25mm higher ride hight (for a 4x4) from larger tyres and rims. That makes 50mm bigger tyres from stock tyres (for me stock is 265/70R16). So for people in my boat we miss out on the 285/75R16 by 5mm and the 305/65R17 by just over 1mm.
