Leaking tailshaft seal.

The seal at the rear of my gearbox is leaking, where the tail-shaft goes into the rear housing. Just wondering if this is a DIY job or get a mechanic to do it? I'm mechanically minded but will I need any specific tools?

easy job, just remove tailshaft and prize out the old seal with a suitable screwdriver. fit the new seal with abit of grease on the outer rim and tap the seal back in evenly until its flush with the outer box housing. apply some grease to the tailshaft end before pushing it into the box.
