When driving the engine picks up slow and have no power when taking off, and also climing hills

Its a D22 QD32 engine non turbo
How's the air intake? The filter might be clean, but make sure there's nothing blocking the passage to the filter. One of the vehicles taken to the Nissan dealer where I bought my car from had a similar issue and it got worse until the car wouldn't start. At first they were stumped, then someone noticed the grille in the snorkel was missing - when they looked down the tube, they found an owl had been sucked into the thing (obviously hit it one night). It worked its way into the elbow at the guard and blocked 'er up good and proper.
