I've asked this question to many people and can't find a definate answer I have a 2012 d40 spanish model td.
The cars completely stock except when we put a snorkel on it it made a pretty loud turbo dose noise changing gears.
I recently had the flexi join in the exhaust system changed for a new one and the stock muffler changed out for a straight through box.now the dose noise has completely disappeared and my fuel consumption has risen by a litre per 100.
Just trying to find a answer as to what has gone wrong the cars still running fine no change at all.but really miss the noise as the straight through box didn't do anything either.
