10mm? That ought to hold for a couple of snatches.
Did you put one on each side? That would allow the use of an equalisation strap to halve the load across the chassis rails.

excellent... Did you use crush tubes between the plates so the chassis dosent deform?

im thinking a "crush tube" just acts like a brace so when you tighten the bolts that run through the chassis it doesn't "crush" the chassis..

Yep, they just stop the chassis being squished in when you tighten the bolts up. You tighten up onto the tubes instead of the chassis.

Yeah. Just abit of 3/4 inch tube or something.. Normally ya try and thread thread the through it.

Really, interesting.
I wouldn't go drilling through your chassis willy nilly. Yake a look and see if you have tapped holes both sides of the chassis where the tie down hook is.
You may be able to use them with an equalisation strap.
