Sounds like a bad run of luck you've had there mate. I'm unsure what you're actually asking in your post? I'm guessing its if we've got any idea as to what's wrong?

Did they replace the clutch hydraulic system? Sounds like there might be air or crap in the lines maybe?

Also, I'd be taking it to a reputable clutch/brake place and getting them to investigate. Keep a record of what The dealership has done to the vehicle and how many times they've done it wrong. It might help you claim something down the track.

My experience of dealerships is the only do half of what they tell you, and they manage to get that wrong.

Also, can you try some punctuation in future posts, it's a headache to try and understand long posts with no punctuation.

Hi Kevin,

Good to see you've gotten the post in here (looks like my private response to you was not necessary!).

The issue with the solid flywheel and clutch might not be the clutch at all. If the pressure plate springs are distempered then the springs will bend, rather than release the plate.

You could also have an issue with the release bearing.

A clutch specialist would be a better source for an answer. When replacing a DMF with a single mass unit, I would have thought that replacing the pressure plate was mandatory because the excessive heat would cause the springs to fail, but that's extra work to do!

The dealer should have been aware of this, but may have been cutting corners to get out of the extra work or costs involved in fully rectifying the problem.

Yes, the punctuation makes a massive difference to how people read what your saying, while you may know how your sentences sound and read and the meaning to intend to convey, no one else does, that and it just a common courtesy.

Yes this is a navara forum, but you can't seriously come on any forum and expect it to stay on topic. Topics wander, but hopefully someone brighter than me will be able to more easily decipher your first post without a headache and have an answer for whatever the question was in there.

My point being punctuation matters! The meaning difference between "the panda eats shoot and leaves" is MASSIVELY different to "the panda eats, shoots and leaves" all over one little little comma.

It's got nothing with wanting to be a school teacher (that jobs pays way too little for the amount of stress and work that goes into it) it's a general life and common courtesy thing. Decent grammar and punctuation go a long way gettin people on your side.

And for the record, I have already thrown my few cents at the problem, now it's the OPs choice to act on or research further the suggestions that have been made.

joshman instead of trying to insult people if you cant help with a post just ignore it seems to me you think you are some kind of owner of this site. Thats how a school teacher acts thats why i thought you were a school teacher. kev:pissedoff::wristy:

Not an owner and definitely not a teacher, but I genuinely want to help where I can and am just trying to make the process easier for all involved.

Sorry for going about it the wrong way.

Hey Kev, don't take it to heart mate, only trying to make a suggestion to make posts easier to read. And if you post a paragraph of strung together words, more people just overlook it rather than read what you have written.

Again, just a friendly suggestion.

Relax Kev,been doing a bit of research on solid flywheel hd clutch kits and have read they can make gear changes a bit notchy, mostly if you get the hd comp kit though.
I would check the hydrolics as well.
My standard clutch is about due to expire after 175000 kms(so much for d40 clutches colapsing) so
that is why i'm looking.I'm going the solid fly wheel kit but not the comp truck version.
There you go Kev,i even chucked in some crap spelling.Hope you get the ute sorted.
