A similar thing happened on a forum I was part of a few years back where the IP matched but the abusive posts came from the guys neighbour who was piggy backing the guys wifi. They'd had some fight over some inane thing months previous and the neighbour knew some of his online habits and went off to make a dick of the guy.
In this case I think the guy just got a little over whelmed by the whole 4wd thing, he'd read 4wd action and thought we all acted like Roothy and got annoyed because some of us can talk about other subjects. Oh and cause we are wankers or knobs, which both kind of go together so it's all good.
