No compression cylinder 3 - ZD30

Hi All,

Only have very limited information at the moment however have a friend of a friend who is offering up a very nice d22 with no compression on cylinder 3. Other Cylinders are within spec...

Still waiting for some more info but was just wondering if there were any common faults and what would be the worst case scenario if I were to buy it to fix.....

I'll post more info as it comes to hand.

could have a hole in the piston crown, or a broken con rod.

most likely holed a piston, unless they drove through water and hydraulic the motor.
if hydralic then possible head and block are ok. but may have other water damage.
hole in piston may mean block is badly scored and the head will be cracked. would also need to replace injectors and possibly injection pump.

easiest way is to find a wreck and swap the motor over.
