problem finding a part

The other day my navara key died so i went to use key part in passenger door it was turning but not unlocking the car so i got my spare key and the remote on that worked but i pulled the door trim of passenger side to find there is no clip for the rot top connect to the key and i can not for the life of me find out what this clip looks like has any one else had this problem

I haven't looked at mine but I'd have thought it was either a circlip or flat sprung clip that looks like it was cut from a tin can like most cars use. Have you got the service manual?

It will be a plastic clip on a 90 degree angle that slides over the rod then the rod goes into the lock and the clip then clips onto the rod again to hold it in place. Look in the bottom of your door for it
