Have a look at steibuear (excuse the spelling)
They are without a doubt the safest chip around. Also look at DP chip. They are Australian and have very good customer service by all reports.

Not trying to persuade you but I had been unaware of any alternatives to Steinbauer.

The advantage with Steinbauer is that they have an Australian distributor and agents.

And whatever you do, make sure the unit will operate with the cruise control that you get. The Steinbauer unit hooks in with the TPS and I understand that cruise does not work, at least on some vehicles.

A bit of a bugger about your toes. It sounds like your taking it well.

The Steinbuer for the D40 is $1698 or thereabouts so presumably the same for the D22.

The DTE from DTUK is a bit over $600 with forum discount depending on the exchange rate (which is a bit hard to calculate if paying by Paypal).

Best to do your homework though and make sure the one you purchase is the one you want. Even at 600 odd bucks, it is a bit of coin.

Good luck with your endeavours and more importantly your health.
