I am thinking about taking the family to Rainbow Beach for a couple day when i am on break are there any new little places to take the truck for a play or any old that have been shut down.

Theres alot of coffee rock showing up when i was there 4weeks ago. Be sure to drive only on low tide.

Pettigews eastern and western fire breaks (kings bore rd) are closed due to the weather.
And as gunning said lots of coffee rock the most I have seen. you cant get around to rainbow via leisha track and the beach even at low tide unless you drive in the water around the land slips and trees. but be warned the rusting old car bodies tell the story.... best to use freshwater track which is more like a road these days...
