Hi guys,

Planning to do a raptor lining on my D40 followed by a hard lid. Just wondering if I can go over the lip with the raptor and still have the hard lid fit properly? I have been told this is an issue with the plastic ute liner.

The plastic liners(rust magnets)are a lot thicker than a few coats of raptor
I went over lip with my raptor and then had canopy installed
I would suggest it would be ok

Thanks sparra.

Did you hit it with a gun or brush? Was it a punish taking all the plugs and fittings out?

sparra, how many tins did you use?, i have just bought a kit for my d40, the shop suggested i would only need 2 tins, so that's all i got.
also, did you scuff the paint first?
cheers
eric

I scuffed paint with 600 wet n dry
4 tins in kit
I used 3 and it had 5 coats allup
Was going to do xtra coat but decided to keep 1 tin for touchups
12 mths and its still as new
Great product

thanks for the advice sparra
how lond did you leave between coats, and how long after the last coat did you peel the tape off?
need about 2 doz bolts to to fill all the tie down rail bolt holes!

How do you go about getting a clean edge when peeling the tape off? Do you have to cut it first? Or does the tape do the job for you?

Thanks sparra, looks great!

Still tossing up between monstaliner and raptor. Guess it comes down to brush or gun.
