rough ride compared to st model can i change springs?

Hi everyone, i got a 2009 ST-R and my mate just got a ST 2010.

Except for the power different i noticed my ride is a lot stiffer and i feel almost every bump compared to the ST model.

I hardly carry any weight in the back tray but i tow a ski boat in summer, camping water skiing etc.

How can i change what i have to make my ride very smooth.

I feel like I've got a lowered commodore sometimes , and if any one sits in the back they complain how about ruff the ride is. If they are having a drink or something there lucky not to spill it sometimes hehe.

Can i change the springs or do i need to change the new shockers aswell?

A D22 wont ride as smooth as a D40 unless you change the front end to coils.

Decent aftermarket suspension will improve it though.
