Rust under tailgate hinges.

Just wondering if anyone else has found rust under their tailgate hinges. Seems to be a common trend due to nissan missing this spot while painting. Mine is a 2012 model and just got fixed under warranty and my mate has a 2010 model he purchased brand new and we just found his has the same problem.

Be interested to know if anyone else has it. Normally it is hard to see due to stock chrome bumper but you need to get down and look up underneath the hinges.

Just had a look. Mine has a surface rust spot on the left side, right side is ok. Paint in that area is literally just a fine mist. Pretty ordinary really.

Mine is a 2010.

Mines a 2010 but I have had engine oil and auto trans fluid spill in there which has probably helped stop rusting, lol. I've degreased most of it off but didn't get it all last time so at least it will deter it for a while, lol
