snorkel and lean running

ARB are fitting a Safari snorkel to my ZD 30 next week and the mechanic that was servicing the ute this morning said it would make it run lean and it would need re mapping does this sound right.

Bahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahaha just fell off the couch. Interesting way to make extra money. Your maf sensor will pick the "extra" airflow and adjust fuel etc to suit. Thats what the ecu does. I wonder how many customers he has ripped doing this

Thanks for all your replies, just to be clear it wasnt ARB that gave that advice it was another mechanic that was changing the oils and checking the car over before our trip away.
