Space case- what goes in and where?

It's a simple question,

I've got one of those army style plastic "space case" everything proof boxes (About 900Lx400Dx300H) and when we head away I always wonder what I'm suppose to put in it and where to put it.
I don't have drawers- we use plastic containers but I bought it thinking I'd use it for......, well- I don't really know.

If I put it on the roof for big trips its harder to get to, so what would I put in it....?

If you don't want it on the roof then you've answered your own question, it goes in the back and you learn to pack around it.

Just wasn't sure what everyone else put in it or where.
I saw someone had recovery gear in theirs on the roof but carry mine in the back.

I don't know that everyone else has one, to be honest I don't even know what a 'space case' is I just didn't want you to think no cared enough to answer your post.
