hi guys im just wondering what offset the standard 16"
steel rims are on a dx the reason im wondering is I want to put a set of 10.5 federal mud tyres on them an just wondering if there wide enough or not ? or would I be better off with a sunraysia style rim but it has to be same off set I do not want them hanging out my car

It's not hard to measure the offset.
Measure the full width of the rim from edge to edge.
My stock d22 steelies are 207mm.. Take that number and devide it by 2 = 103.5
Now lay the wheel face down, use a strait edge a cross the back if the wheel and measure from the back of the hub flange strait up to the base of the strait edge.
I get 143mm.
Now minus 143 from 103.5 (I know it will put you in negatives but bare with me)
I get -39.5... That doesn't mean I have neg offset it means my offset is pretty much 40.
To work out + or - offset, if your first number is smaller than the second number, you have pos offset. It you can just look at the wheel. If the hub flange is closer to the front of the wheel you have a pos offset.
Hope this helps.
Sammy
