STR electrics into DX

Im thinking about putting central locking in my DX. Was thinking about getting a kit, but then thought why dont I just get STR bits and pieces then I can have power windows as well.
Has anyone attempted anything like this and how hard is it to do??

Just get the kit, having to buy the whole body harness is bloody expensive. Add the regulators and switch panels to that, plus having to pull the whole dash to install the harness... shit job. Been there, done that.

Would be a LOT of work, also if you want elec windows you will need the motors and bracketry for each door plus new door skins with the switch instead of the winders. I paid $100 for a central locking kit and about $150 to get it fitted by an auto elec. Much better way to go.
