styleside body splitting at the seems

I was putting in a mounting system for the fridge the other day and spotted that the tray is splitting at the seems in a number of different places. Has anyone else come across this ? i'm not very happy i hope that the rest of the car is not like this ?

Is it splitting or is the sealant just shrinking and has crack in it. Pics would be good

ok heres a pic this is just at one spot there is a couple of different places where its happening. its not just the sealant shrinking cause i can see light on the other side. this pic is on the left hand side where the wheel well meets the front of the tray.
