I kind of agree, but provision of basic services is generally a state government responsibility.
For much of the Howard government's time, most state governments were Labor, so they would find it hard to see eye-to-eye for bipartisan projects. They're both equally to blame IMO.
Good point, there job is to run the country. Talk through there differences and get on with the job.
There is a new bypass being built down here, Howard could of built it for $500 million, Howard ignored the requests.
Rudd gave it the go ahead and now its going to cost $1.2 Billion.
There is another 1 that Howard ignored, but Ill think of it later. Anyway Rudd said build it.
The NSW state goverment throws all the money to Sydney. How do you win the election ? Keep Sydney siders happy. Sydney has like 5 million people and the rest of NSW would have like 1.5-2 million people.
With that kind of forward thinking you could be a politician Dave
Thanks, stuff that though. Instead of worrying about the state or country, everyone else is wanting your job or your oposition drag your name through the mud instead of focusing on the state and country.
We have to many morons being paid now, to do stuff all. 25% of the politicians should be fired, everyone else in politics should be made to work harder like normal people do.
Dave.
