Thumping

Hey guys ever since ive bought my nav (2010 140kw stx) i get a wired thumping sound after i brake. So when the car has came to a complete stop it will make a thumping noise not loud but loud enough to hear it. Its mostly come after a give it a bashing when a hilux rocks up next to me to tempting not to blow his doors away . Any ways It goes and comes not sure what it is any ideas

It's the rear driveshaft that clunks back into the transfer case. The splines are meant to slide in and out as required by whatever the rear suspension is doing.
Quite a few of them do it, mine included. I've been too lazy to pull the driveshaft and grease the splines, maybe some day.

a couple of threads i started a few years ago, may be the same thing. i still get the symptoms occasionally, comes and goes, still have no idea why!
mine is not the symptoms suggested by Kernels, i get that driveline slap also.
