Turbo Timer

from what ive heard, and discussed with a local diesel machanic..

The newer model boggard timer will now work with central locking, where as the older model wont..

is there such a thing as a temperature guage for the turbo? I like to fang around the beach & then usually I just pull up, no idle or nothing, will be changing that now though.
Anyway if theres a turbo temp guage available i'll just idle til it drops down, problem solved, definitely dont want a fire

some guys use EGT guage for the same pupose. while it measurees exhaust gas temp, at idle you get a lot of heat from the manifold heating the temp probe. they simply idle till the temps drops down to normal idle temp.
even with water cooled turbo's its always best to let them cool down before turning motor off.
