Tyre chipping problem

FWIW, I am currently running Bridgestone 697's. Nice and quiet for what they are, and the carcass is robust too.

Previous tyres have all been mud (mickey thomson mtz, hankooks, kumho kl71) so the noise level difference is massive.

Woeful in the slop, but excellent on-road, excellent on gravel.

And the price is sensational for a brand-name tyre (I paid $279 each for 265/75R16LT).

I had Pirelli scorpions atr on my last car(patrol) and I thought they were great if a little pricey

Mate has them (pirelli atr's) on his rodeo and they have gone really well. Life was not too great, but grip, noise etc were awesome.
